Sobieski János utca is being renewed!
In the "Healthy Street" programme, the renewal of Sobieski János utca has won 1.62 billion forints!
What the projects to be completed by 2029 have in common is that once realised, car traffic in the residential zones may decrease, pedestrians and cyclists will move around more safely and comfortably, and the share of green surfaces will grow in several places, with new and extended rows of trees, while drinking fountains and benches will make the public spaces more comfortable.
The streetscape will also be completely renewed. Starting from Sobieski utca 3, the municipality is demolishing all the vacated buildings up to the corner of Gát utca. The works are expected to be finished by autumn 2026, and the utilities will be upgraded along the way. The plots are planned to be sold, so the number of new residential buildings in the street will keep growing.
Both developments will contribute significantly to the value growth of the apartments and further improve the comfort of those living here.
